The much anticipated/feared Salt brothers debut did not disappoint…unless you happen to be Yellow’s goalie, Nick Adkins. The dynamic duo combined for four and four to lead Navy to the only dominant Week One win. Add a dash of Deborah Finucane to the mix, and Navy is SO-DEUMN good (see what I did there).

We’ve been stuck at the same intersection for over a year, waiting for the light that hangs over Covid Avenue to change. It finally has…we have the green light, and it’s time to take the foot off the brake and accelerate down New Season Boulevard. The teams are set, the Week One schedule is set, the cars are (finally) set in motion again! If you haven’t already done so, find out who is riding shotgun with you, and who is in the car racing next to you this week. Buckle up, set your GPS to ‘SDFHL Cup Final’, and enjoy the ride!

Every captain is hoping that this will be their lucky night, but fortune is fickle, and it all depends on how the cookie crumbles. Eleven slips of paper are hiding in those gross, why-did-I eat-this-I-know-it-taste-like-semi-sweet-styrofoam folds, but only one of them reads ‘SDFHL SUMMER 2021 CHAMPIONS’

I hope your league shirt this season really brings out your eyes, or matches perfectly with your shorts and socks. If you are particularly particular about colors, you now know which captain(s) control your fashion fate. Whatever the case, these colors will be ready to clash come June 13th.
