Four teams have yet to swim to the sandy shores of Playa De Los Playoffs as the final wave of regular season play swells to a crest this Sunday. Three of those four teams control their own destiny, and two of them (Captain Ryan Karns’ ‘Mermaid Man & Karnacle Boy’, and Captain Will Heinl’s ‘Gary’s Purple Pretty Patties’) will face each other in the Week Nine opener. It’s ‘win and in’ for those two, with the loser facing potential elimination, should Blue secure at least a point against Red in the nightcap, and (to a much lesser degree of likelihood) should White push past Sand and wield the proper combination of tie-breakers over their only other conquest on the season, Green.
