I hope your league shirt this season really brings out your eyes, or matches perfectly with your shorts and socks. If you are particularly particular about colors, you now know which captain(s) control your fashion fate. Whatever the case, these colors will be ready to clash come June 13th.

Who knew our lovely logo lady had such an amazing shot? SDFHL league action is ALMOST back, folks! The draft is set for June 4th, and we should be ready to rumble with eleven new teams for Week One on June 13th…

Here Come The Sundays…

The invites are out (please let me know if you didn’t get yours), the captains have (mostly) been corralled, the draft date is (tentatively) set, the draft list is rounding out, and May 16th marks our first open session, and first organized Sunday play in over FOURTEEN months!

Long Time Coming

Thursday night hockey kicked of (for realsies, Shattucks) on April 8, 2021…thirteen months to the day from the last league game on Sunday, March 8, 2020. It was great to see some old faces (and some new hair) out there!

Back Track

The SDFHL finally got back to business on Sunday, after a shotgun draft, and some expedited COVID hoop-jumping. A group of six teams returned to the rink to kick off what we are calling the ‘mini season experiment’ (name needs work…I know). It was clear that some folks hadn’t lost a step, while others looked, well…lost. If all goes well, we’ll be back to an open invite season sometime in October.
